Radar is the better ultrasonic

The 80 GHz Radar is a non-contact sensor used for level measurement.

The radar sensor operates at a high frequency (80 GHz) and embarks an advanced electronic which negates the influence of buildup.
Moreover, the microwave-based technology does not rely on the surrounding conditions to proceed with the measurement. The physical properties of microwaves allow them to pass through thick layers of dust or humidity and remain unaffected by heavy sun exposure.
Compared to ultrasonic measuring instruments, radar sensors measure regardless of temperature fluctuations, vacuum, or high pressures and are insensitive to contamination.
80 GHz radar sensors also convince with very good signal focusing. This makes it easier to separate measurement and interference signals - the measurement
is much more reliable and accurate.
